Irish Georgian Society and Westport County Council’s Westport Study Day on Friday 10th November

The Irish Georgian Society and Westport County Council’s Westport Study Day, which takes place on Friday 10th November in the drawing room of Westport House, County Mayo.

This study day will provide a history, appreciation and understanding of the architecture and conservation of Westport house and demesne, in tandem with an exploration of the urban development of the planned Georgian town of Westport; and consider Westport as an exemplar of heritage led regeneration.

Speakers will include: Aine Doyle, Fintan Duffy, John Flannery, Dr Gordon Kennedy, Dr Martin Mansergh, Bronach Joyce, Colm Murray, Dr Aidan O’Boyle, Dr Eamon O’Flaherty, Siobhan Sexton, Grainne Shaffrey and Simon Wall.

On account of the historic venue, attendance at the study day is limited, and therefore advanced booking is recommended.  The cost of the study day is €25 to include lunch/tea and coffee.
